Renewable Heat Workshop on 15th November: Public Procurement – Developing Wood Energy
RASLRES will host a Renewable Heat Workshop, entitled “Public Procurement – Developing Wood Energy Solutions” at 09:30 – 13:30 on Tuesday 15th November 2011 at the Ard Ri Hotel in Tuam, Co. Galway, Ireland.
The aim of the workshop is to:
- Increase awareness among the public sector of biomass heat energy options
- Outline heat ESCO project examples from the Scottish and Irish markets, and review ESCO contract issues
- Provide technical and financial information based on project case studies
- Facilitate networking between the public sector and energy companies
- Share the learning from projects under RASLRES
Who should attend?
- Facility/energy/public procurement managers across public sector e.g. Local Authorities, HSE, OPW, and those with responsibility for managing public sector property/heat use
- Public agencies and community players with a role in renewable energy market development e.g. LEADER companies, Local Authorities, community enterprise groups
- Private installation companies and other SMEs with capacity to enter market
- Existing and potential fuel suppliers
- Consulting engineers and O&M companies working with the public sector
- Those charged with finance for capital projects
